Graduate School Overview

The Graduate School at West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) is committed to helping students develop their potential with a wide range of programs that introduce scientific exploration in fields as diverse as agriculture to psychology. There are programs that lead to professional degrees, certification, and licensure. These include nurse practitioner, public accounting, counseling, school administration, and much more. WTAMU boasts a highly qualified faculty from which to learn and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Buildings and Resources

The WTAMU campus contains 44 academic, administrative and recreational structures, including classrooms, offices, laboratories and residence halls. The Jack B. Kelley Student Center features a lounge with large-screen television, computer stations with Internet access, food court and bookstore. The Virgil Henson Activities Center contains a recreational pool, bowling alley, gymnasium, weight room and 10 racquetball courts. The center also contains the offices of the Department of Sports and Exercise Sciences, Recreational Sports, Educational Services, Intercollegiate Athletics, Career and Counseling Services, and Life Services. The Hastings Electronic Learning Center contains the Open Access Computer Lab, which is open 24 hours per day.
