Graduate School Overview

Established in 1877, the University of Hartford (UHA) is a private not for profit institution offering doctor's, master's and graduate diplomas/certificates in more than 33 graduate degree programs encompassing architecture, business, education, engineering, health science, humanities, music, social sciences and visual arts. Over 1,700 part-time and full-time students from all states and over 40 countries are enrolled annually.

Buildings and Resources

UHA located in West Hartford Connecticut, is midway between Boston Massachusetts and New York City. Only a short distance from Bradley International Airport, the 320 acres campus' most prominent academic buildings include The Harry Jack Gray Center (Mortensen and Allen Memorial Libraries, School of Communications, Visual Communication Design Department, Department of Architecture), Alfred C. Fuller Music Center (Hartt School), Auerbach Hall (Barney School of Business), and the Integrated Science, Engineering and Technology Complex (College of Engineering). Two satellite campuses - Asylum Avenue Campus (10.5 acres) and Handel Center Campus (7 acres) also support student studies.

Grad Student Organizations

UHA hosts over 100 student clubs and organizations categorized as general clubs and organizations, culture and faith based organizations, performance based organizations, community service organizations, engineering organizations, sports organizations, and student media organizations. Most are applicable to graduate students, with some having an exclusive grad student focus.
